Sharjah TV Installs Shure Axient Wireless System on April 2, 2014 | Marketing Team Nicolaos M Kyvernitis Electronics Ent, the designated Shure Axient distributor in the Middle East, has recently supplied Axient wireless system to Sharjah TV, mainstream media in Sharjah, UAE. The Axient System purchased by Sharjah TV consists of six channels of AXT400 receiver units, six AXT100 Axient Bodypack Transmitters and four AXT200 Axient Handheld Frequency Diversity Transmitters with KSM9 capsule. The complete system, including Spectrum Manager, Show link Access point, Rechargeable solution, Antenna distribution and a road-ready wireless Ethernet switch, offers the complete Axient features.Shure Axient is designed to deliver clean, uninterrupted audio for mission-critical microphones, even in the presence of direct interference. The system continuously scans for problems, always maintaining a list of back-up frequencies in order to provide a clean and compatible frequency whenever required. Using a data backchannel, Axient uses its unique frequency diversity feature to seamlessly switch channels before interference becomes audible, either automatically or via manual alert. The system also precisely tracks battery life in hours and minutes to within 15 minutes’ accuracy.Four key features of the Axient System: • Interference Detection and Avoidance detects RF interference and enables the system to move to a clear and compatible frequency in milliseconds.• Frequency Diversity mode transmits full-bandwidth audio on two separate frequencies. If one frequency is disrupted by interference, the audio from the second frequency is automatically used.• ShowLink™ remote control enables the operator to make real-time remote adjustments of all the transmitter settings while the microphone is live, without interrupting a performance or disturbing an elaborate costume. Control coverage extends throughout the entire performance area and can be extended to include backstage areas. • The Axient Spectrum Manager scans the spectrum constantly, and monitors, ranks, and deploys backup frequencies automatically. This ensures that the system uses only the cleanest frequencies during a performance. The system also manages significantly upgraded Wireless Workbench 6 software. When connected Axient spectrum manager, wireless workbench performs live RF scans and analysis, with detailed graphic overlays and device markers on a high-resolution frequency plot.During the show, Wireless Workbench 6 enables live remote adjustments to networked hardware for instant changes to frequency, gain, RF output power, battery life, RF signal strength conditions, and more.Since its establishment in 1989, by Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sharjah TV has been deeply concerned with the Arabic language and national identity. It highlights both environment and community issues, and follows up the country’s activities, giving special attention to family, children, and non-Arab community residing in the UAE. Sharjah TV broadcasts programmes that address social problems and traditional restrictions. “Axient is a perfect solution that addresses the issues involved in High-density RF environments. The system manages transmitters, receivers, antenna systems, the RF spectrum itself, even the batteries you’ll use”, commented Shajahan KK, Product Manager of Shure at NMK Electronics.”The capability to fix the problems, before the user even knows there’s a problem, is incomparable” he added. “Our engineers are very satisfied with the great sound quality of the system. The Axient key features such as Interference Detection and Avoidance, Transmitter remote control or Frequency diversity make our job easier in difficult RF conditions”, commented by Khalid Al Shehi - Audio Incharge in Sharjah TV.
