NMK supply system integrator microphone systems

Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises, distributors of Shure microphones and audio electronics in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman have supplied Dubai-based system integrator Seven Seas with a complete range of Shure SLX wireless microphone systems, which also includes an antenna distribution system for a corporate multi-purpose venue.

The venue, which belongs to an esteemed establishment, doubles as both a cinema and office auditorium for presentations and meetings.

The SLX is suited for installed sound applications and working bands, by delivering superior audio quality in an easy-to-use and quickly configurable system. The receiver includes Shure's patented Audio Reference Companding technology, a technology which brings more transmission clarity and dynamic range to wireless systems than ever before. Unlike traditional wireless companding schemes that are restricted by a fixed compression ratio, this technology utilizes a variable compression ratio. This allows the SLX to eliminate wireless artifacts during quiet passages and offer superior dynamic range.

Once plugged in and powered up the SLX can be ready for use in a matter of seconds. The press of two buttons will activate the Auto Frequency Selection utility for the receiver to scan for the cleanest frequency in its range. Once this is complete, the transmitter and receiver are automatically synced using the Auto Transmitter Setup feature which uses an infrared link. With each receiver having over 960 operating frequencies across 24 MHz of UHF bandwidth, a combination of up to 20 systems (area dependent) can be quickly and easily set up.

"The SLX series is a real workhorse, numerous system integrators depend on it for their wireless microphone needs. It is great to see our products as part of Seven Sea's professional installation in the venue with top of the line audio and video equipment," commented Richie Hiranandani, Marketing Coordinator.
