The yearly education series will now go under the new title “Academy 2.0” and will be hosted at the new NMK Middle East FZCO office located in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The seminars include brands from Rational Acoustics, Shure/DIS, ClearCom and Midas.

Celebrating 25 years in the Middle East, Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises has recently established a new free zone entity under the title NMK Middle East FZCO. The mission of the new entity is to continue the success of the professional audio, video and communications distributor across the Middle East and surrounding region. NMK Middle East FZCO will continue to maintain and build relationships with system integrators, rental companies, broadcast integrators and broadcasters for a wide range of manufacturers.

The system integrator has provided the console as a complete AV solution to a prestigious new events and convention center in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The deal includes dual sets of a PRO9 surface that include the DL251s, the DL451s I/O boxes as well as the DN9441 Rapide EQ Controller from Klark Teknik.

After initially meeting the technical team at CABSAT earlier this year and attending a Certified Midas Digital User and Systems Engineer course in May, the theater confirmed for a Midas PRO6 as an upgrade to their existing sound reinforcement system.

The company previously purchased one of the first Pro2 systems in the Middle East, which they first used in Abu Dhabi. Loud N Clear which operates in the region and provides its services in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

Taking place between the 14th and 18th of October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center, NMK will be exhibiting at the show’s second appearance in the region. Products showcased at NMK’s booth will include new products from brands such as Shure, Roland Systems Group, Midas, Rational Acoustics, ClearCom, Rane, Cloud, Sound Devices, Neutrik and Van Damme Cables.

The buzz at InfoComm 2012 this year was certainly the new Pro1 from Midas. Breaking new ground for Midas by featuring an all-new, lightweight aluminum frame, with enough local I/O to make it the first stand-alone Midas digital console. At the show itself, the console won one of the ProSoundNetwork InfoComm Best of Show awards.

In response to the positive reaction from the market of the official launch of the Pro2 in the region at the PALME exhibition, NMK have hosted the first Certified Midas Digital User (CMDU) and Certified Midas Digital Systems Engineer (CMDSE) in the Middle East.

Conducted by Technical Support Manager, Jason Kelly the three days of training in Dubai provided the 24 sound professionals that attended a comprehensive background on the AES50 protocol, Midas Digital Snake solutions and Midas Digital Consoles.
